Isak Turned 8 and was baptized!

I took Isak out for a little baptism photo shoot so we could make an announcement- it was my first one I ever made in photoshop and it was good- at least I thought it was for my first try.

*Okay I am barely in August of 2010 but the holidays were busy.  I just need to catch up if you only knew how cold this room I am sitting right now is.

Back to Isak and his baptism- He is so handsome and he is such a wonderful spirit.  He just gets things and he tries so hard to be good.  We are so proud of him and the choices he makes and he can really be kind when he wants to be.  He had some wonderful family members there to celebrate his day- like his Aunt Dona and cousin Lauren- his Grandpa Don came all the way from the west and Grammie Nancy came from the south.  Like all Larsen Baptisms none can start on time- Dad forgot his underwear at home.  So like it must be a tradition for our family that a baptism will never start on time and we have 3 more to go.

Jonah the all American Boy

These are some fun pictures i took of Jonah when i was thinking about composition- yes our grass was that long- it was only that long by this pile of wood in the middle of the yard waiting for someone to move it.  It made a great back drop.  These pictures depict Jonah perfectly- he is all boy and he is always barefoot and in a t-shirt climbing anything in his path- now and then he does have to rest and feel the summer sun on his face.

So this April I took a photography class so I could learn to actually use all those little buttons on my camara.  I took a lot of phots of my boys of course and a few little other things.  The apple blossoms were in full bloom at NOrton Brothers Orchard in Cheshire Connecticut.  I can't wait to eat the apples this fall- the honey crisp can send you into a sugar coma- but I digress.

We went and took some fun shots of spring and who is that little gnome in the orchard- he has come too early for good eats.

Engineering NIght

The whole Family went over to the school to participate in Engineer night.  WE had fun building arches-listening tubes, gravel and fill.

We also played engineer charades and we got to design our own tower made out of spagetti and marshmallows.  I think our tower turned out like ron weasley's family home from harry potter- but it did withstand high winds- barely.

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Let's First start off with my beautiful cherry blossoms- spring exploded early this year and I needed to capture it.

Next is the Easter Egg Hunt of 2010- we went over to our neighbors house for some good easter fun.  It was like a warm summer day- we could have gone swimming.  Yes, mom i just cut Isak's hair because I couldn't look at it anymore.
