Here he is in his blessing outfit before he bust out of it- I think Isak was the only one I actually got photos on the day of his blessing. I always seem to run out of time or this time Gideon pretty much had spit up all over by the time we got home. Then time passes and in the back of your mind your thinking one day I need to put him back in the little outfit you slaved to make. Finally you do and he has grown so much in less than a month and he barely fits. Oh, how sweet he is though.
On elijah's actual birthday we had a little celebration of fun. I made some yummy cupcakes and i used my new cupcake stand. Aren't they cute- who doesn't love a cupcake. Of course most kids just lick the frosting off them what a waste- i mean these babies are homemade they must be crazy.
Elijah had a fun third birthday party. Lots of his little friends came - which we have no decent pictures of- the theme was a winter wonderland of snowmen. We played pin the carrot on the snowman- and of course had some yummy snowman cake. I love the winter themes i can use and get clearance items after christmas. Elijah is so funny and we are truly blessed that he is part of our family.
These snowman my sister had me purchase- they brought some winter flavor to our igloo.
So grammie and Grandpa have officially left and will probably arrive in Florida today. Before grammie left we had to take some pictures of her and the kids- inside of course with a makeshift back drop. The kids were very sad and Isak is especially sensitive. Here our some of the shots.
here is our motley crew on Christmas morning- they want to get up early but look like they need a few more hours of sleep. Christmas was mostly legos, thomas the train, games and some clothing (ugh)! There was no crying or fighting though- we deem it a successful christmas. I seem like I am writing about our past lives- I am- but i promise to move forward and look to the future.
So this is the last snow of the year 2009- the boys and our friend zac couldn't wait to get out and play in it- I love taking pictures of them out in the snow - maybe it's their rosie cheeks but they look so darn cute. We are now in the beginning of 2010 and seems the snow just keep coming so i'm sure there will be even more snow pictures to come!
This blog is really for the grandparents of my 5 wonderful boys. My parents on this day are on their way to Florida and I know my mother's greatest sadness is that she won't be able to see the boys anymore (I mean on a more regular basis- not forever) so i have decided in the depths of my already insane life to start another blog that is specifically about my family life- not about quilts or photography but about the boys and me. I hopefully won't take months inbetween updating this- I'm trying to be upfront. We will miss Grammie and Grandpa being so close- we love you!
One crazy life - mother of five boys, a husband and 2 boy cats. I love to sew, quilt, bake, take pictures and have fun! What's life without a little fun!
